    Sunday Emergency

Sundays are usually quiet affairs in the Muxxy household. I get a lie in, only to get woken up either by a dog, cat, or Kim bringing me a strong dose of caffeine to bring me round. As it’s the day before the first schoolday of the week, I spend a little time ironing the kids’ uniforms. Yes, despite the rough exterior, I am quite domesticated. Yesterday our son, who is nearly twelve, complained of a pain and had trouble walking properly. He went off to bed last night having taken some painkillers, and we said we would see how he was today. Steemfest Day 2 – MS Strikes!

The second day of Steemfest3 began with an Uber ride to the ICE Krakow Conference Center. My agenda for the day was to catch up with some presentations, host a roundtable discussion, take part in other discussions and to be part of a panel to discuss the ramifications of tokenizing the web. Held on the third floor of this magnificent building, tables were laden with food of all types and drink -, both hot and cold – were available for thirsty Steemians who gathered around tables to discuss Steem, projects, and the whole ecosystem. @Rhondak and I joined an interesting roundtable discussion held by @blocktrades. Also in attendance were @teamsteem,…

The water is very calm here and is teaming with fish. We have started taking bread to the beach for the kids to feed them, much to their delight. Mask adjusted, straps tightened, and with the snorkel in mouth, I entered the sea. Eventually, I explored ever…

Travel, Health, Stress, and Why I’ll Do It Again

My new found taste for travel began last year with my solo trek to Portugal for Steemfest. Originally a friend was coming with me but the airline we booked with went into liquidation, and he could not afford to purchase further flights. Thanks to a @roelandp’s generosity, I managed to get the cheapest flights I could, but this meant me flying to Belgium, then onto Lisbon, and my return trip took me to Prague before flying home. It was the furthest I had ever ventured alone – previously I had only ever traveled with family. When talks about a possible meet up in Gatlinburg for The Writers’ Block, I just…
